Hallelujah! Praise God! We should all be shouting from the rooftops! We serve a living God! The tomb of Christ was empty when the women arrived on that Sunday morning so long ago. Listen to the words of the two angels who appeared to them in Luke’s account in Chapter 24:5-8, “…Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He is risen! Remember how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee: The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.” Then they (the women) remembered His words.
My husband and I will be off to Bucksport Marina for the Sunrise Service there early this morning. It has become a tradition for us to worship with the body of Christ at the edge of the Waccamaw River. The peace and quiet of the early morning, bringing with it the excitement of Christ’s resurrection after the horror of the crucifixion, seems to add to our joy as we again experience the news of the empty tomb. God has completed His plan for our salvation and Christ has demonstrated His love for us beyond anything we can truly comprehend. How blessed we are to be so loved!
Enjoy your Easter Sunday! Share your joy with loved ones as well as strangers. Greet everyone today with an Easter Sunrise smile and share the good news! Christ is risen! Death has lost its sting! He lives! He lives!
