Focus on today’s scripture from Matthew 27:50-51 (NIV) “And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His Spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.”

The good news of Good Friday is that the curtain separating the Holy Place of the temple from the Most Holy Place (symbolizing God’s presence) was split in two. This meant God was no longer separated from His people. Christ’s death on the cross enabled us to once again have access to God personally without having to rely upon a high priest to intercede on our behalf any longer. We have a direct line to God! Our very own lifeline, so to speak. It was bought at a great price and we need to use it each and every day!
