Jim has experienced a true miracle and an answer to prayer.I know that he has been on the prayer list at one church for almost a year, he and I pray together daily for his health concerns as well as for others and have done so for many, many years, and I asked for prayer for him at the Waccamaw House of Worship on Sunday, June 8th. Isaiah 40:31 comes to mind: “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Jim has been unable to attend church on any regular basis for a few years. He’s always made it to Christmas Eve service and we have been so grateful for that. He was usually able to find the strength to attend a service when I spoke, but over the past two years he was not even up to that. I share that so the change that began last week may be more evident to others. God’s hand in it is so obvious to us. To God be the glory!!!
We began to see an improvement when Jim made it to two Wednesday night bible studies that continued for about two hours. He usually has difficulty sitting through an hour service. Then last week, his renewal really took hold. Last Wednesday he attended the bible study and on Friday we went on a shopping trip to Sam’s. On Saturday he said he was ready to attend a graduation ceremony at the House of Worship, which lasted about two hours in all. Sunday morning he said he was definitely going to church with me and he did! I should say God enabled him to go. Truly he’s not been able to do three days of activities in a row for years. We were amazed when he decided he would go get some material for a project on Monday by himself! Yesterday, we went to a German restaurant to celebrate his birthday a day early so that we could attend bible study tonight. This morning he was outside for an hour working on his project! He gets tired but is able to rest it out in a short time, not for days as of old! Six days in a row he has been on the go! Truly the Lord has blessed him with a powerful healing and we are both so thankful. This miraculous change came in God’s time and we praise His Holy Name. Yes, miracles still happen! With God all things are possible!
